DB Systemtechnik heads off to run tests in south-eastern Europe with the DAC4EU demonstrator train

The test train for the digital automatic coupling (DAC) is taking to the tracks again: the train's couplings and electronic equipment have been modified, and it is now being tested in shunting operations and on various lines – in Nuremberg, Serbia, Hungary and Austria.

DB Systemtechnik provides testing from a single source for the new six-car Siemens Desiro HC FST multiple unit. The tests, which ran from February to June 2023, focused on the brakes, acoustics, aerodynamics, pantograph, service strength and running equipment.
