Safety management

DB Systemtechnik is an independent assessment body for risk management procedures.

As such, it has a role to play in the approval process for rail vehicles and infrastructure.

DB Systemtechnik will conduct assessments in the areas of railway operations and rail vehicle maintenance as well as for the subsystems rolling stock, system integration, energy, train protection, train control and signalling.

Our services

We are an Assessment Body (AsBo) and take care of the following:

• Carrying out an independent safety assessment of the risk management procedure for you in the case of safety-relevant and significant changes or recording of the changes
• Drafting the safety assessment report

Furthermore, we cooperate with:

• British AsBo Railway Approvals Limited (RAL)
