The test train for the digital automatic coupling (DAC) is taking to the tracks again: the train's couplings and electronic equipment have been modified, and it is now being tested in shunting operations and on various lines – in Nuremberg, Serbia, Hungary and Austria.

DB Systemtechnik provides testing from a single source for the new six-car Siemens Desiro HC FST multiple unit. The tests, which ran from February to June 2023, focused on the brakes, acoustics, aerodynamics, pantograph, service strength and running equipment. The TSI Loc & Pas provides a standard-compliant energy measurement system for locomotives and multiple units. If it is not installed, the estimated value method results in higher consumption costs.
