Article: Meet DB Systemtechnik at InnoTrans 2026
From 22 to 25 September, DB Systemtechnik will welcome customers, partners and industry professionals at InnoTrans in Berlin. At two exhibition locations, we will showcase our system expertise for infrastructure and rolling stock, covering everything from testing and approval to reliable condition data, maintenance, and the technical availability of vehicles and infrastructure.
Hall B/410: Intelligent Infrastructure Monitoring
The focus of our presence at the Deutsche Bahn group stand is Continuous Infrastructure Monitoring. By providing continuously available condition data, DB Systemtechnik addresses key infrastructure challenges, including increasing network utilization, limited maintenance windows, and high requirements for availability and reliability.
Using our Wire Geometry and Wear Measurement System (WGW), we will demonstrate how contact wire position and wear can be continuously monitored duringmeasurement and control operations. A virtual reality application will provide insights into the overhead power supply system above the vehicle roof, making complex technical relationships easy to understand and experience.
In addition, we will present Continuous Track Monitoring (CTM) using a sensor box mounted on an axle bearing, illustrating how regular service trains can be transformed into mobile measurement platforms. A measurement pantograph will also be on display at the Vossloh stand in the outdoor exhibition area (O/330).
Outdoor Display O/630: Experience Technology First-Hand
At Outdoor Display O/630, the focus is on personal exchange and hands-on technology experiences. Our experts will provide insights into vehicle engineering, maintenance technologies, testing services, and digital products for the railway sector.
A special highlight awaits visitors with RUBI, our robot for underground infrastructure inspections. On a dedicated course designed specifically for InnoTrans, RUBI will demonstrate how underground cavities and structures can be automatically explored and documented. Visitors will also have the opportunity to operate RUBI themselves and experience its capabilities first-hand.
