    Condition-based maintenance of the infrastructure

Our CTM 2.0 systems enable you to continuously monitor the condition of your railway infrastructure. The systems can be installed in or on virtually any rail vehicle. Our systems independently capture data from the “trackside” for further analysis. Continuously monitor your tracks with our systems and make your maintenance planning more targeted and efficient.

    Your Added Value

For more than 20 years, CTM has continuously provided valuable data on the condition of the railway network – and continues to evolve. The focus is on longitudinal level and twist. New hardware and software developments are currently at an advanced stage of development or are already undergoing operational testing. Examples include turnout monitoring, turnout rehabilitation (height adjustment plates method), bridge monitoring, wireless CTM systems, and energy-autonomous solutions.

    Your Benefits:

    • Predictive maintenance helps improve train punctuality.
    • Early detection of faults in the track infrastructure can enable the fault rate to be reduced by half within two years.
    • Optimization of maintenance measures can reduce maintenance costs by up to 30%.
    • Avoiding speed restrictions due to infrastructure defects improves operational quality and availability.
    • Higher safety is achieved because severe track defects can be detected within hours.
    • The sustainability and reliability of maintenance measures can be monitored.

    Our Services

Currently, around 12,000 route kilometers in Germany alone are regularly travelled and measured using CTM (as of January 2026).

    Our range of services includes:

    • Continuous monitoring of infrastructure using scheduled trains
    • Robust measurement technology: The first CTM system, built in 2004, is still in operation today. To date, it has measured more than 10 million kilometers without a single measurement-system failure.
    • Supporting maintenance teams in the planning of maintenance measures through the analysis and interpretation of measurement data
    • Many years of operational experience
    • Expertise in the interaction between rolling stock and track infrastructure
    • Regular supplementary reports and dashboards
    • Your partner for concept development, construction, installation, and approval
